~Finish Topic 3 Multiplication Unit - Begin Division

~Begin Science Environment Unit

Students IRL (independent reading level) has been written into their planners, along with what color books they should be checking out in the library. It is a guide based on one inventory only. It is not mandatory they check out one of those colors, only a guideline.

*******Our EnvisionSeries for math is a new adoption for the school. There are expected difficulties as we transition to the new program. Please pay extra attention to your child's math homework as the work has intensified.

Organizational Materials in Our Class

~Every student should have a three ring binder and a homework folder.~

The binder has five dividers.
Math,Reading,Writing,Science,Social Studies

Within each divider should be all work that has been returned for the quarter.

~Every student should have an agenda.~

The agenda is maintained after every subject, with a check at the end of the day. Parents should help to check over assignments and initial after they check the planner.

Please allow me to introduce my baby girl, Brenley Shea Glasgow born September 29th at 9:51 pm weighing 7lbs 11 oz and 21 in long.

Hello! Welcome to the 2008-2009 School Year!

I am so excited to be back teaching at Anthem school. I am a native to Arizona and have enjoyed living here for most of my life. I graduated summa cum laude from the College of Education at Arizona State University. I also spent time playing collegiate volleyball and currently coach JV girls at Boulder Creek High School here in Anthem.

I love Arizona and the Anthem area. I feel so privileged to be working with such great kids in a wonderful community. If at any time you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact me through email at Kathryn.Glasgow@dvusd.org
